What's the difference between the ipod touch announced a few days ago and the orginal ipod touch 4g?

I know the price got cheaper and the "new" touch comes with ios, imessege, white color, etc but is it any faster? Does it come with the new A5 chip or the same old one? So what's different in the new ipod touch to the original ipod touch 4th gen? What's the difference between the ipod touch announced a few days ago and the orginal ipod touch 4g?
No, the new iPod touch 4G that was announced on the 4th of October does not come along with the new Apple A5 chip, but it has new RAM 512MB, the old iPod Touch 4G only has 256MB RAM. So this will slightly improve Performance especially with multitasking apps, but other than that the new one coming out has iOS 5 (Which will be released on the 12th of October) and iCloud on the same day. What's the difference between the ipod touch announced a few days ago and the orginal ipod touch 4g?
Here is a detailed description of the ipod and iphone. The difference is mainly speed and being a world phone, in both cases.

IOS5 and that's all from what I have seen and heard. Because apple would loud and proud say that they put in the A5 chip. Right?
