The price will not drop within that time... But you may be able to get a good price when it is on Christmas sale. They do not have warranty on most of their items, it isn't their problem if you break it. A cashier told me that.

Both are good phones. And the newly released HTC EVO 3D is another option for a high end HTC Android. It comes with Android 2.3.4, dual core processors and ofcourse 3D screens and video recording.

pretty much sure that the evo is the same as the dhd , but 4g and varied technical data ... yes both can be upgraded to 2.3.3 and i think both can be rooted so , whatever favours you - probs 4g

also the 4g has a secondry camera but slightly less RAM.
htc desire hd isn't available at any US carriers so I suggest the evo 4g, if it broke you can get a free replacement.

There may be differences in preformence such as app crashes for one and not the other, they both run the same unless different version (IOS firmware) at the same speed. The only other differences is if you do a thing called jailbreaking, ipod is just straight foward jailbreak, where iphone i think you have to unlock as well, but it is extremely simple to do just as jailbreaking a touch. Most themes you get from a app called Cydia (aquired from jailbreaking) are designed for iphone and NOT for ipod touch, which makes it hard for us like me to find good themes that work. That is all i know, hope his helped.

1. A faster processor. Apple's A5 chip.

2. Better camera resolution. Probably 2-3 MP.

3. More battery life.

4. Probably even thinner.

it cant be jailbroken unless YOU have jailbroken it... its just not something that can happen automatically, theres a physical process to resetting the hardware and putting it into the appropriate mode for jailbreaks.

anyway, if its jailbroken, there should be two hardwired apps that you cant get rid of: Cydia (the jailbreak appstore) and Winterboard (the panel to change background and UI colors). so if you dont see any of those, its not jailbroken.

that said, you really should jailbreak your ipod, even if you dont seem to have a use for it, the jailbreak will give you so many more options so that when things start to screw up like your internet, you can fix, or try to manage them yourself without sending it to apple

As for T-Mobile goes, there is no true 4G technology. There is HSDPA+ which is comparable to current WiMax (Sprint's 4G). However, not all phones support HSDPA+. 3G is HSDPA/UMTS. It is faster than many of the older generation phones. Wifi is Wireless Fidelity which uses a wireless router, and a broadband internet connection.

For a perspective think of this.

1990 - 2000: Average speed of Internet connected PCs for the home was 14.4 - 56kbps

Early 2000 decade, broadband brings about 512kbps (about the "3G" standards).

Today, there are speed averaging about 10 - 15 MBPS (1MBPS = 1024kbps).

4G and HSDPA + currently averages 5 - 10MBPS.

As for devices to use, there are PC modems. They will plug into the USB port of your notebook. The USB port looks like a small rectangular hole, and most notebooks have 2 - 4 of these. You could buy a USB modem, and from there - use a notebook to connect when you don't have a wifi connection. Inquire about any data caps. If they say there are caps, then you shouldn't use it to stream video.

If you want to rely on a phone like device, the ones with the best screens will be smart phones. Currently, there are only 2 that supports T-Mobile's "4G". That is the G2, and My Touch 4G. The G2 had complaints on flimsy hinge for the keyboard. Both have a touch screen, and it will take getting used to.

If you need a physical keyboard, then RIM typically has the best one. For that, go with the 9700, or 9780. However, the web browser is not as good as on the Android devices (such as above). If you want an Android (good browser), and a physical keyboard, the T-Mobile slide will be a better option. Most of the phones will use HSDPA/UMTS (3G).

As for the plan, if you go with a smart phone which is the closest to a PC experience, you will need to have a data connection for you to use it fully. In which case the Even More/Even More + plans are as follows with SMS/Data

500m: $80/$60

1000m: $90/$70

unlimited: $100/$80

You can only get the second option if you walk into a store, and get the phone at full price. If you are willing to do that, expect to pay $350+

All smart phones will have wifi these days. If you have a broadband connection at home - invest in a wireless router. You will then be able to rely on the home network's capability rather than cellular.

It depends on which jailbreak software you use. Some require you to reset your ipod which would of course make you lose everything thats currently on your ipod. But either way once you jailbreak it you can just use itunes to put everything back on. And yes you will still have full access to the app store, itunes and everything else.

No, the new iPod touch 4G that was announced on the 4th of October does not come along with the new Apple A5 chip, but it has new RAM 512MB, the old iPod Touch 4G only has 256MB RAM. 3G network is basically "Third Generation" cellphone technology that gives you all the stuff BEYOND voice communications and simple text messages. I'm talking stuff like streaming video, game downloads, TV, music, and even Internet surfing.

4G does not exist yet except on paper. Several working groups are working on it. Verizon claims to have plans to start transistioning its network to 4G starting 2010. it's supposed to be able to send HD video over cellphone network (not possible currently).

The Motorola Atrix is also dual-core. The LG Optimus 2X is coming soon. HTC soon will release the Pyramid and the Revolver, both dual core.

I strongly suggest HTC because of their quality, beauty, functionality, updates, and HTC Sense.

The Thunderbolt is really the one you will be the most satisfied with, of the ones available sooner.

The HTC Evo is still a killer phone also. HTC hit a homerun when they put just about everything in it.
Thunderbolt has the 2nd Gen Snapdragon processor. It'll be plenty quick believe me. I have a Droid Incredible with the 1st Gen Snapdragon and even that is pretty quick. The Dual-Cores are really only available in tablets these days. I don't think there's a dual-core phone available yet.

I think the Thunderbolt is honestly the way to go. The 4G won't do much good because Verizon is still working on rolling out their 4G network. But once they get it up and running it should be pretty sick. They're the only carrier in the US actively building a TRUE 4G network (LTE technology). Companies like AT%26amp;T and T-Mobile are calling their networks 4G but really it's only 3.5G.Which is the best 4G phone that will be coming out?
Until it's released, a phone can't be considered the best, or even good. Last year, I nearly got the env touch - it looked like the best of verizon;s multimedia non-smartphones. when it came time to upgrade, it was still $100 more than the next cheapest phone. Turns out it was also the least reliable (one of the most complained about phones) on Verizon. The moral of the story - there's more to a phone than its specs.
I really like the HTC 4g phones. The EVO 4g looks excellent, although the Inspire has the 1Ghz Scorpion processor and comes loaded with Android 2.2. I guess it depends what network you want to be on as well. I have the HTC 7 Surround on Telus in Canada and the data speeds and reliability are excellent. Have you thought about the Samsung Infuse that's due to come out on AT%26amp;T? It's got a 1.2Ghz processor and Android 2.2. DON'T GET IT FIXED FROM APPLE STORE, EXSPENSIVE! What you need to do is buy a screen replacement kit off eBay or Amazon. You can replace the glass in screen with a kit. Search websites for tutorial of how to get it off before and after buying the replacement kit. Its much cheaper than going to one of those booth phone case stands or apple store.
If you have a warranty or guaratee ring up Apple and ask them can you send it back to them and can they fix it for free? They should fix it for free seeing you do have a waranty. I believe its a defect. Have you tried different head phones. well contact apple and see what you can do. You do have a 90 day warranty and a 1 year technical warranty from apple. Try a normal restart by holding the home+power button for about 10secs then releasing the power button wile still holding the home button. I use iTunes currently since I have an iPod Touch, and and an Android phone. I personally use iSyncr which requires either a Mac OS, or Windows PC which is likely if you have iTunes, and an app on the phone.

Once you get the app, have it set up to use your SD card. You could also get the Wifi addition, but this is not a good option with a large synchronization. If you have an SD card reader, and an SD adapter, this will be the fastest way for large syncs. If you do not have an SD card reader, consider a micro-SD to USB adapter.

Should I wait for the iPod touch 5g or just buy the iPod touch 4g?

I really don't want buying a 4g then finding out that they've released the 5g one month later.

Is it for sure that Apple will release an iPod touch 5g, or since because Steve Jobs has passed away (RIP), will they stop updating the iPod touch. If so, when?

And, is it worth the wait? I know that there are just rumors, but what changes do you think will be made?

If you jailbreak the device, you do not actually break any software laws as of now, but that could change in the future. The main reason to jailbreak the device would be for getting the extra features that it has to offer, and you may or may not be able to return it to the apple store if something goes wrong. Best bet? Don't jailbreak. Keep in mind, if you do a firmware update to the OS that apple releases, they may "brick" the device, rendering it useless and not use able. your warranty is null and void. although not quite sure about that, its only a software hack (right?), and if you just put the old firmware back on it when you break it (assuming still in operational condition), they shouldn't be able to tell if you did do that or not.

I have an ipod touch 4g and i tried facetiming my friend and it said It was unable, okay so i put in my CORRECT password and it said it was unable to join network. So i go to my settings and click wi-fi. i choose the network i want and it says "Unable to join the network "Instert Here". What should i do? And yes my password is correct.What do i do if my ipod touch 4g won't allow me to connect to wifi?
press the little blue arrow on the wifi name on the ipod then press "forget this network" and try connecting afterwards

Nokia N8 brings more than a phone ever had,nothing innovative,but that what i has is better than any phone else.

What phone should I get Evo 4g or Evo Shift?

4g is internet connection. right now common thing is 3g which is fast as it is but 4G is the next generation of internet browsing on a phone besides wifi. It's just faster but its not available in every city yet so unless you live in one of those cities (i do btw Portland YEAH) haha no point to it..
