The iPhone 3G has a camera that ONLY faces outward, so it makes it hard to take a picture of yourself with friends. Also the iPhone 3G does NOT have facetime.
The iPhone 4G has TWO cameras. One that is on the back and one that is on the front. This camera is not only better because the pictures are better quality, but also because you can do facetime with other people you know who have an iPhone 4G.
FaceTime is like a webcam in your phone but you can use it anywhere and anytime. This can be great for family that is on business that you want to talk to, people you want to chat with and see how they are doing, etc.
